Act One INT. MULDER/KRYCEK'S APT - 10AM
Scully is asleep on Mulder's couch, the file folder that Marita and Krycek showed her is open on the coffee table. The apartment is very quiet.
The apartment door slowly opens and a dopey Mulder arrives home from a night out. He's dressed in a nice white tank top with a red silky button up shirt with a silver diamond print that are almost unnoticeable. He's got nice black slacks on and a chain dangles from his pant pocket (rear) where his wallet is. He stands in the doorway à la "Swingers". Mulder suddenly notices someone sleeping on the couch and he perks up out of 'Handsome Alvin Mode'.
Mulder walks into the living room and takes out a stud earring from his left ear. He disappears into his bedroom for a moment then returns without his red silk shirt on, just the slacks and white tank top. He goes over to Scully, sits on the couch and shakes her awake.
MULDER Scully's eyes open.
(shaking her)
Scully... Scully...
MULDER Scully sits up.
What are you doing here?
SCULLY Mulder gives her a look.
Mulder... we can't trust
Marita and Krycek.
SCULLY Mulder takes a deep breath, he trusts what Scully says.
Last night, Krycek came over and
told me lies. (beat, takes a deep breath)
He and Marita made up a story about how I
was involved in the Project, how my family
is not my own. (beat; takes a pic of her child)
How this man is my husband and she is my child
That I agreed to have all my memories erased,
for this life. (gets pissed) And for some reason
I am a key figure in some resistance against an invasion.
MULDER Mulder doesn't say anything, he just looks at her with a serious expression.
Scully, I want you to realize
that Krycek and Marita are involved
in a project dealing with an alien
invasion. (beat) Now I know they will
tell whatever lies they need to if it benefits
them in the whole scheme of things, however
I don't understand why they would create such
an elaborate story to directly involve you in their work.SCULLY
So you're saying you believe them?
SCULLY Off Mulder's look...
(sighs)
Ok, lets say they are right?
That memories of my 'real' life had
been erased, that I am important to
their cause... what could I know that
they don't, that they need?
CUT TO:
INT. SCULLY/MARITA'S APT. - 10:13AM
Marita and Krycek are seated at the kitchen table. Marita is downing a double espresso. Krycek looks thoughtful, he leans in toward Marita.
KRYCEK Marita looks up, kind of glaring at him, she's to exhausted to say anything.
(lowered voice)
There's something else
that I haven't told you.
KRYCEK Krycek leans in closer.
Two weeks ago, the Gulag in
Tunguska disappeared without a
trace... the people, the tests,
(stresses importance) the vaccine.MARITA
(serious)
Alex, without that vaccine,
if the invasion should begin,
we won't be able to fight it,
we become a slave race.
KRYCEK Krycek starts fishing around in his pocket, he pulls out the vile containing the Russian vaccine that he stole a few years ago while he was in Tunguska.
Not exactly.
KRYCEK Krycek remains silent, the less people that know... the better.
I believe that the colonists are
going about colonization on their
own timetable, that somehow they
found out the Russians had a weak
vaccine... and somehow they destroyed
all evidence that it had ever existed
(beat; holds up vile) except this.MARITA
That would mean that
you're life is in danger-KRYCEK
-and your's, Scully and Mulder.
(beat) You've all been exposed
to it. It's in you.MARITA
Who else knows that you have this?
MARITA
We need Scully now more
than ever, she's the only
one that knows the formula.
(beat)What do we do now?KRYCEK
Involve Mulder? (beat)
Scully trusts him more
than us, if Mulder knows
he could help.They sit there thinking for a bit.
MARITA
I'll inform Mulder,
you inform the group.CUT TO:
INT. US GOVERNMENT LAB - TUNISA - NIGHT
A middle aged doctor wearing a biological protection suite is carefully placing a golden substance into a clear vile. He turns to a chart and writes down information.
The door to the lab room opens... the doctor turns to see who it is... it's the Alien Bounty Hunter... not in protective clothing.
DOCTOR The Alien Bounty Hunter doesn't seem to care... he violently approaches him. The doctor looks alarmed.
Sir... this room is not safe.
DOCTOR
No...The Alien Bounty Hunter violently picks him up by his neck and throws him into the wall, killing the doctor. He turns around and looks at the room and exits as flames erupt out of nowhere in the room, caused by an alien craft, similar to the one we saw in the teaser.
