Act Two INT. EAST 46TH STREET - DAY
The Well Manicured Man hangs up his phone, a nervous expression is on his face. He turns to Deep Throat, Cigarette-Smoking Man, Quiet Willy and the 1st and 2nd Elders.
WELL MANICURED MAN Krycek enters the room in a hurry, and stops dead in his tracks upon seeing the Smoking Man and the Elders. He quickly snaps out of it and goes to the Well Manicured Man and whispers something in his ear. The Well Manicured Man's eyes grow wide.
I just received news from Tunisia.
Our lab has been burnt to the ground.
All our information destroyed.CIGARETTE SMOKING MAN
And what of our leading scientist?WELL MANICURED MAN
Dead and burnt. We've lost
years of research... we don't
have the time to start over.FIRST ELDER

Agent Scully.
WELL MANICURED MAN

FIRST ELDER They all look like they are about to have a massive coronary attack.

Krycek seems to have misplaced it.

EXT. FBI PARKING GARAGE - NIGHT
Mulder is fumbling around his pockets trying to discover where his car keys are. Rain is dripping onto the cold concrete floor. Mulder approaches his car.
MARITA Mulder turns around to see Marita stepping out of the shadows.
(from a dark corner)
Agent Mulder.
MULDER Marita approaches him... ignoring his attitude.
You here to feed me more lies?
MARITA Mulder stands there reluctantly listening.
Agent Mulder, you need to
understand what is going on...
MARITA
What we told Scully is true. We
need her, you may not know this
but colonization is closer than
we anticipated. The aliens have
been eliminating all research
needed to create the vaccine to
to use against them.Mulder gets interested.
MARITA
(after a beat)
What we didn't tell Scully is
that she is the only one alive
that knows the formula for the
vaccine. (beat) Years ago, she
memorized it, she was the first
scientist in our group to succeed.MULDER
Why are you telling me this?MARITA
She doesn't trust us anymore,
(beat) she trusts only you.MULDER
Why didn't you tell Scully all this?MARITA
She wouldn't have believed it.
(beat)We wanted to present her
with the information gradually.MULDER
You forgot one thing. (beat)
She had her memory erased.MARITA
Yes, I know. But the information
is in her, it's just been turned off,
all we need to do is bring it out of her.MULDER
And exactly how would you go
about that? (anal) More tests?MARITA
That's what Cancer Man wants
to do, to use her for his own
good. (beat) Take her back.Mulder looks at her, he doesn't get it.
MARITA Mulder listens.
Years ago, Scully was on his side,
to help colonization not resist it.
She had intimate relations with him
and married John only to have a connection
with those that believed in resistance.
She was a manipulative liar and traitor
out to rule the world.
MARITA Off his concerned look...
Then one day she lost John in
an airplane crash and her daughter
was taken from her, she became depressed
and suicidal. The Cancer Man suggested she
have her memory of John and her child erased,
she agreed, but Cancer Man had other plans (beat)
send her to spy on you, debunk your work-MULDER
-well that didn't exactly work-MARITA
-exactly, so now he is out
to bring her back.MULDER
But why allow the planet to
be colonized? What are the benefits?MARITA
He knows there's no stopping it,
and he wants to survive.

INT. MULDER/KRYCEK'S APT - NIGHT
Scully have come back from picking up some Chinese food she walks into the living room once again. No one is home, a red light is flashing on the answering machine, she walks over and hits the 'play' button.
MULDER
(on machine)
Hey Scully, I'm out at Manner's Bar,
an old friend of mine from college is
in town and we'll probably be out all
night... if you remember please feed
my fish, oh, and don't forget to lock
the door. Erase this when you get it,
I hate how I sound on the machine.Scully looks at it weird and turns on the TV and eats her dinner.
TIME CUT:
INT. MULDER'S BEDROOM - NIGHT
Scully is sound asleep.
FLASH
Scully is lying on a bed wearing a spaghetti string dress, the Smoking Man appears and gently starts to remove her dress as he erotically kisses Scully's neck, eventually revealing her black bra and placing his hand on her breast.
FLASH OUT
Scully's eyes open, she senses someone, she turns her head to look toward the bedroom door.
REVERSE ANGLE
The Smoking Man walks in, a classic expression on his face.
CIGARETTE SMOKING MAN Scully give him a sly, knowing smile, she remembers.
(soft)
