INT - MULDER/KRYCEK/SCULLY'S APT - NOON

Mulder and Krycek are sitting at the coffee table playing a game of Battleship, things don't look like they are going well for Krycek.

MULDER
(confident)
F. Three.

Krycek's face tenses up with frustration.

KRYCEK
(sad)
You sunk my battleship.

Mulder smirks at Krycek.

MULDER
Wondering how I got so good?

Krycek looks at him expectantly, then cocks his eyebrow.

MULDER
My new computer has the game
on it. When Scully thinks I'm working,
I'm actually playing against the computer.

KRYCEK
It's a game of luck, you idiot.
Not talent.

MULDER
If that's true, then
how do you explain my
improvement?

KRYCEK
(lying, smart ass)
I let you win.

Mulder's expression turns to shocked horror.

MULDER
Liar!

Scully walks into the living room, from the kitchen she's wearing an apron.

SCULLY
(curious)
Who's a liar?

KRYCEK
All I did was tell him
that I thought you are
pretty in an apron... and
he called me a liar.

Mulder pouts, he's mad.

MULDER
(raising voice)
That's not true!

SCULLY
Ah... I'm not sure, Mulder.
You're getting defensive, and
raising your voice.

Mulder walks over to the bookshelf.

MULDER
Think what you like. I've
got better things to do than
listen to you complain about me.

Mulder sits down in front of his computer and opens up an HTML 4 For Dummies Quick Reference book. and gets online.

SCULLY
(sweet & innocent)
Whatcha doin' Mulder?

Mulder continues to ignore her and types in the site URL for Angelfire. He logs in. Krycek comes over along with Scully to look over his shoulder.

KRYCEK
Hey! That's the random book
of the month that we bought
a long time ago!

SCULLY
Random book of the month?

KRYCEK
Yeah, we figured that we'd
be more cerebral if we bought
one book each month, chosen randomly
and read it -

MULDER
- it just so happened that we
got this one, and one way to
expand our minds was to learn HTML.
So for this past year now, me and Krycek
have been working on a site.

SCULLY
(correcting him)
Krycek and I. (beat)
A site about what?

KRYCEK
Us.

Mulder nods his head in agreement.

SCULLY
What did you put on this site?

KRYCEK
(fast to answer)
Our sexy pictures.

MULDER
Pictures of our friends (beat)
even you Scully.

SCULLY
Can I see this site?

MULDER
Sure!

Without hesitating, Mulder types the URL to their site. https://www.angelfire.com/ks2/foxandrat/index.html.

KRYCEK
(proud)
We call it... "Fox and Alex
Build A Website".

Scully giggles then the front page of the site appears.

SCULLY
(stops giggling)
Oh... it looks so serious.

MULDER
It's not quite done yet, but
we should finish today.

KRYCEK
We're going to put up
pictures of our badges -

MULDER
- So the site looks more important.

They smile proudly.

SCULLY
Have you shown anyone
else the site?

KRYCEK
We haven't, the weird thing
is people have signed our guestbook.

MULDER
We're popular with the ladies.

Scully snort laughs.

SCULLY
You've got to be kidding me...
why would they find you guys attractive?

KRYCEK
(arrogant)
My emerald green eyes.

MULDER
(arrogant)
My hair.

Scully shakes her head at them, she looks thoughtful.

SCULLY
(decisive)
They're right about your eyes.

Scully winks at Krycek and then leaves the room to go finish making lunch.

MULDER
(yelling after her)
What about my hair?!

There's no answer.

KRYCEK
(bashful suck up)
I like your hair.

Mulder throws crumpled paper at Krycek.

MULDER
Cut it out!

Krycek pulls up a chair next to Mulder.

KRYCEK
(child-like)
Wanna go play on Goofy Spooky?

Mulder perks up in his chair.

MULDER
Yes!

They look around the room suspiciously, to check and make sure that Scully isn't there, so they click on "Goofy Spooky Message Board", and start typing like mad men. First Mulder at the keyboard and then Krycek, chatting with each other on their own message board.

KRYCEK
This is so cool man!

MULDER
Wanna play "Catch me if you
can in a thread"?

KRYCEK
Yes! I won last time!

PANNING BACKWARDS from behind them typing on the computer, and into the kitchen, to reveal, Scully watching them just about to erupt with hysterical laughter. Then Scully exits the kitchen through Krycek's apartment area and goes to log onto her computer, she proceeds to interrupt their game on Goofy Spooky. Mulder and Krycek in Mulder's living room refresh the page and realize that they didn't impersonate Scully posting on their board... the word is out... before they know it, everyone will find their little corner on the World Wide Web.
